The fifth Easter egg campaign of the Lions Club Offenburg Simplicius e. V opened. In times of Corona, moderator Markus Knoll wished you could bring a little soothing color to life. Club members, sponsors, representatives of the museum presented the project and the motifs of the Easter Eggs edition together with the artist Alina Atlantis. The idea for this came from Konstanze Schwarz, President of the Lions Club Offenburg Simplicius in 2019/2020. “Europe is the main heading of our Easter egg campaign”, she presented the motifs of the small works of art. With the purchase of an Easter egg for the price of eight euros you not only acquire a colorful Easter decoration, the lot in each egg can win one of 500 attractive prizes with a total value of 17 200 euros. In the Christian culture, Easter, as a festival of hope and new life, is strongly symbolic, says the artist, the message that confidence can help to live. The idea of hope is also the crucial issue for Europe, “if we do not share this confidence and hope we can pack up in Europe”.

The Easter egg titled “Mindfulness” shows a little ladybug sitting on one hand. It stands for European values such as mindfulness, security, happiness and vulnerability, representative of the endangered environment, and is a detail from the artist’s 40-square-meter image of Europe. The artist already created the Easter egg motifs from the past campaigns. The motifs “family ties”, “diversity” and “mindfulness” were added to the “peace dove” and the motif “Europe with the bull”.
